By installing and using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy and give explicit
and informed consent to the processing described below.

- Translation, voice input, and camera text recognition are used to provide app features.
- Translation history and favorites are stored on your device only.
- We use Google services (ML Kit, Firebase, Google Play Billing) as described below.
- We do not sell your personal information.
Requested permissions
The App may request the following Android permissions:
- INTERNET (Full network access): Required to download translation language models, process subscriptions, and send anonymous analytics and crash reports.
- RECORD_AUDIO (Microphone): Required for voice input and speech-to-text translation. Audio is used only when you tap the microphone button.

What information do we collect?
1. Information you provide in the App
When you use the App, you may enter, speak, or scan text for translation. This content is
processed to deliver translation, text-to-speech, history, and favorites features.
- Typed text: Processed for translation and may be saved locally in your translation history.
- Voice input: Handled through your device’s speech recognition service (typically provided by Google on Android). We do not operate our own speech servers.
- Camera and images: Processed on your device using Google ML Kit to detect and translate text. Images you choose are not uploaded to our servers.
- Saved captures: If you save a translated camera image, it may be stored in your device’s Pictures folder.
2. Information stored on your device
The App stores the following data locally on your phone or tablet:
- Translation history and favorites (source text, translated text, languages, and timestamps)
- App preferences (theme, accent color, app language, guide completion status)
- Temporary cache files for OCR and camera features
This data stays on your device unless you clear app data, delete history inside the App,
or uninstall the App. We do not maintain our own backend server to store your translations.
3. Personal data
Personal data means information that specifically identifies you as an individual
(for example, your name or email address). We do not ask you to create an account and we
do not intentionally collect personally identifiable information directly from you.
However, text or voice content you enter may contain personal information if you choose
to include it (for example, names, addresses, or phone numbers in a message you translate).
Please avoid entering sensitive personal data unless necessary.
4. Subscription and payment information
Talking Translator offers a premium subscription through Google Play Billing.
Payment processing, receipts, and subscription status are handled by Google. We do not
receive or store your credit card or bank details.
Google may provide us with limited subscription-related information needed to verify
access (for example, whether a subscription is active).
5. Analytics and crash reporting
We use Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics
to understand how the App is used and to fix crashes. These services may collect
device and usage information such as:
- App version, device model, operating system version
- Screen views and feature usage events (for example, translation performed, voice input used, lens opened)
- Selected language codes (not the full text of your translations in analytics events)
- Crash logs and diagnostic data
